Description:

This qualification is particularly relevant for individuals aged 18 years and over, who wish to pursue a career in internal verifying vocationally-related qualifications within the active leisure sector.

The types of documentation used for Internal Verification
How to verify assessment decisions and assessor performance
How to provide support and guidance to Assessors
How to provide training and development activities to further develop Assessors
How to provide standardisation exercises to ensure consistency of assessment
Quality assurance procedures and practices

Course requirements

You must possess a qualification relevant to the particular subject area you wish to internally verify and you must have a minimum of 6 months assessing experience within the Active Leisure sector. You must also have a minimum of 3 years industry experience.

Assessment

You will submit a portfolio of evidence which contains the following:

Your CV and copy certificates
Internal Verification Plan
Internal Verification Evidence
Standardisation Exercise
IV Worksheet

You will then be observed at your workplace carrying out internal verification of an assessor.

Attendance Requirements

Distance Study Option Only - You are required to attend 1 assessment day on which you will complete all your assessments.

Any of the following qualifications are essential pre-requisites to this course. You must hold a current (dated within the past three years) certificate or have maintained Continued Professional Development in these areas.
