- Client Lifestyle and Fitness Assessment
- Advanced Instructing - Gym
- Nutrition and Weight Management
- Business and Marketing Skills for the Fitness Professional
Personal Training Course Requirements
There are no set requirements for this course. Everything you need to know will be covered in the course material. It is recommended you have experience of using a gym and during the course you will gain further knowledge and skills by participating in work experience activities in the studio environment.
Theory Learning
All the learning material for each section is loaded onto our website in the form of a lesson structure. Once you have started a course with us , you have access to your notes via a secure login. Working through the lessons, you will see very detailed notes and animations , as well as tailor made video examples of what you will be instructing once qualified.
To ensure you are understanding the material you study, each section has an automated online test that you need to complete before moving on. These can be repeated if you are unsuccessful, at no extra cost.
Practical learning
Once you have worked through the online theory notes and tests, you will be required to gain practical experience to translate your learning into a real-life environment.
Rather than having to attend regular practical classes - as insisted on by conventional fitness academies - you can simply observe a relevantly qualified professional at any gym of your choice.
On completion - and our confirmation - of the required number of hours, you can apply for your final assessment from the selection of regular dates at venues across the UK.
Assessment
Assessment days are offered regularly throughout the year and at a variety of venues, as shown on the web site. Once you have completed the course theory and any required practical sections, the next stage is to select an advertised assessment venue.
Attendance Requirements
Distance Study – You have the option to attend 1 training day and you are required to attend 4 assessment days over the duration of the course. You may however choose to be assessed by video and for your theory assessments you may organise to be assessed at a recognised assessment facility such as a local university or college. Conditions apply.
