This fitness course will give you an introduction into fitness programme design covering both resistance training and cardiovascular training. You will also learn about the various systems of the body and the effects exercise has upon them. As a Fitness Instructor you will be able to write programmes for clients with a variety of fitness goals. It will also allow you gain entry to the Register Of Exercise Professinals at level 2.

Fitness Course Requirements
There are no requirements for this course. You will learn everything you need to get your qualification while studying with us. It is beneficial to have some experience of using a gym and during the course you will gain further knowledge and skills by participating in various activities in the gym environment.
Fitness Course Assessment
You will submit a portfolio of evidence which contains the following:
- Screening documentation for a client
- Session Plan designed for client specific needs
- Risk assessment for the planned session
- Health and Safety Worksheet
You will then be observed instructing your client through the fitness programme. Following the assessment you will carryout a written evaluation of your performance and create an action plan for your continued professional development.
There is also a multiple choice theory paper which is externally set and marked by the awarding body.
Attendance Requirements
Distance Study – You have the option to attend 1 training day and you are required to attend 1 assessment day on which you will complete all your assessments. You may however choose to be assessed by video and for your theory assessment you may organise to be assessed at a recognised assessment facility such as a local university or college. Conditions apply.
